Shreveport Police working to identify robbery suspect

Shreveport Police need your help in identifying and apprehending a suspect who robbed a convenience store last week.

At approximately 5:55 a.m. on the morning of June 5, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported simple robbery at the Valero Store in the 3000 block of Bert Kouns. A witness told investigators that a black male suspect, approximately 5’9” tall, weighing approximately 230 lbs., wearing a black baseball cap, white t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black tennis shoes, entered the store and snatched the cash drawer out of the register while distracting the store clerk. The suspect then fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money.

Detectives are now releasing video footage of the robbery in an attempt to identify the suspect involved. Copies of the video will be in the media box at the patrol desk.
