Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit seizes narcotics, money

Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit investigating a complaint have seized a substantial amount of cocaine, some marijuana, and $5000 cash.

Agents received a complaint of narcotics activity in the 4600 block of Rochester St. in Shreveport and based on information received in the complaint, Agents began an investigation. On June 9, 2009, Agents working the case stopped a vehicle leaving a residence in the 4600 block of Rochester St. as part of their ongoing investigation and subsequently discovered approximately 309 grams of crack cocaine, 119 grams of powder cocaine, 48 grams of marijuana and over $5000.00 in United States currency secreted in the vehicle. The cocaine has a street value of approximately $42,800. There were 5 children under the age of 10 years old in the vehicle at the time of the stop and seizure of the contraband. The children were released to a family member.

The following suspects were arrested in connection with this investigation:

28 year old Julius Everette of the 2900 block of Samford Street in Shreveport was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of possession of more than 200 grams of cocaine.

28 year old Tracy Jackson of the 2700 block of Valley Ridge in Shreveport was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of possession of more than 200 grams of cocaine, one count of improper supervision of a minor, and three local traffic warrants.
