Shreveport Police investigating homicide Shreveport Police detectives are investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a Shreveport teen.
At approximately 6:15 p.m. yesterday evening, patrol officers were dispatched to University Elementary School in the 9900 block of Smitherman relative to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered 17 year old Phillip Livigni suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. Livigni was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department where he was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives have interviewed some possible witnesses and believe that the suspects in this violent crime are going to be two white males, one described as being approximately 5'6"tall, medium build, with blond hair and the other described as being approximately 5'10" tall, weighing 200 lbs, with dark hair. Investigators believe that the two suspects met the victim for some reason at the school and it was during this meeting that the shooting took place. The suspects fled the scene in a tan colored, large body vehicle. It does not appear that the shooting has any connection with the school. Detectives are in the very early stages of this investigation and are working diligently to determine exactly what happened and who is responsible for the death of Phillip Livigni.
Anyone having any information regarding this case is urged to call Shreveport Police Detective Eric Farquhar at 318-673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. -spd- View all SPD press releases at www.shreveportla.gov |
