Roderick Parker captured by police

A dangerous fugitive wanted in connection with a violent shooting surrendered to police early Saturday morning.

Shreveport Police Detective Russell Ross arrested Roderick Parker on an outstanding warrant for attempted first degree murder early this morning. Parker was wanted for shooting Sharafat Khan on May 19, 2009 in the 7100 block of Karen St. After a brief foot chase Parker was able to elude patrol officers, but later surrendered to Det. Ross at the Police Complex.

Parker has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of attempted first degree homicide.
