Shreveport Police investigating fatality crash

Shreveport Police crash investigators are investigating a fatality crash that occurred this morning in north Shreveport.

At approximately 10:06 a.m. this morning, officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of North Market relative to a major crash involving a car and a motorcycle. Upon investigation, officers discovered that a 2008 Lexus operated by 82 year old Virginia Kirby of Shreveport was making a left turn into a private lot when a 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle operated by 40 year old Reginald Brisker of Shreveport struck the rear passenger tire of the Lexus. Mr. Brisker was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with critical injuries and was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Ms. Kirby was issued a citation for failure to yield. This investigation is ongoing and officers are working to determine if there were any other factors that may have contributed to this crash.
