Shreveport Police identify, arrest suspect in police pursuit

Shreveport Police detectives have arrested a local man in connection with a pursuit that occurred last Saturday night.

Thirty five year old Richard E. Abel, Jr., of the 100 block of Albany in Shreveport, surrendered to Detective Sgt. Tom Oster last night at the Shreveport Police Complex. Detective Sgt. Oster subsequently booked Abel into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of flight in a vehicle and two counts of aggravated assault.
