Shreveport Police seeking vehicle, suspect involved in pursuit Shreveport Police detectives are looking for a suspect who led officers on a pursuit late Saturday night. At approximately 10:52 p.m. on May 9, 2009, a Shreveport Police patrol officer attempted to stop a vehicle on I-20 after the vehicle was observed operating in a negligently reckless fashion, going in excess of 100 miles per hour and running motorists off the road. The vehicle refused to stop for officers and eventually led authorities to the 3600 block of Southern Ave. As officers were trying to get the suspect vehicle stopped, the offender drove directly at Cpl. Chad Dailey in an apparent attempt to harm the officer and evade capture. Cpl. Dailey, an eight year veteran of the force, subsequently fired two shots from his department issued firearm at the suspect. The offender was able to continue traveling on Southern Ave and eventually eluded officers. The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model single-cab Ford F-150 pickup truck, white in color, with a white camper shell. The camper shell has dark tinted windows running its entire length. The truck also has chrome rims and appears to have been lowered some. The vehicle may have some damage to the front or drivers side. Anyone who has any information regarding this suspect or suspect vehicle is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
