Police seek victims

Shreveport Police Property Crime investigators need assistance in locating citizens who have possibly been victims of a theft or burglary and may not have reported the crime.

On Sunday, April 12th Shreveport Police Investigators arrested a suspect who has been known to have burglarized residences in the Highland neighborhoods, primarily from Kings Hwy to Stoner Avenue, Youree Drive to Line Avenue and around the Centenary College Area between March 25th and April 12th.

Arrested was Garnell Richardson (see photo) for burglary of and theft from various residences/storage sheds/vehicles and taking various items including by not limited to tools and lawn equipment. Richardson is also believed to have tried to sell or sold the stolen same items to unsuspecting local residents. Shreveport Police have taken photographs of some of the items taken but have not located the owners, and would like to identify these items to possibly link Richardson to other burglaries in the city.

Anyone in this area who has been a victim and has not reported the crime or is missing any item and can describe it, or has seen the suspect Richardson in the area between the selected time frame, is encouraged to call Detective Roger Courtney, 673-6985.
