Wanted Suspect

Shreveport Police investigators need assistance in locating a suspect wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Weapon.

Billy Williams, b/m, DOB 08/10/1984 is wanted by police for his involvement in an incident which took place on 3/6/09 at approximately 8:30 PM in the 5600 block of Kent Street, where Williams got into an argument with his girlfriend striking her and a 12 year old child. Shortly after the incident Williams and the girlfriend relocated to the 1800 block of Corbitt where the brother, Tararvuies Lee arrived after being called by the children. While at this location, Williams armed himself with a 9mm rifle and fired numerous shots at or in the direction of Lee endangering both Lee and other citizens in close proximity. Williams then fled toward the backyard and was not present when officers arrived.

Officers obtained consent to check the house where narcotics were located and the home owner was arrested for Simple Possession of Sch I. Additional narcotics which were found during the search are believed to belong to Williams.

On 03/12/09, a warrant, 2009-00-0909, for Aggravated Assault with a Weapon.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $600.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of Williams. Anyone having any knowledge of the whereabouts of Williams are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
