K9 Unit Task a Bite Out of Crime

At 4:10 PM, caller notified Crime Stoppers that suspect Cordarious Holmes, B/m, 19yoa, who was wanted on a $25,000.00 outstanding SPD warrant for burglary of a residence in the 1700 of Pointe Coupee, was seen out in front of 2100 Grimmett Drive wearing Red Shorts and a White Tee shirt. Members of the Fugitive Task Force and an SPD K9 unit went to the scene at which time the suspect fled from police. A brief chase ensued and the suspect was brought under control by a dog bite for the K9 unit. Suspect was arrested for outstanding Felony Burglary warrant.
