Shreveport Police Investigators arrested a suspect for stealing over $173,000 worth of items from her employer over several years.
Micheal(pronounced Michelle) Wiggins, 06-26-1970, B/F, was the full time maid of the victim since 2006. The victim had been in poor health and in/out of the hospital during the summer of 2008 thru the early part of 2009.
On 01 March 2009 the victim discovered some of her priceless sterling silver was missing and confronted the suspect who confessed to the theft of some of the items. The victim conducted an extensive inventory and discovered more silver and many pieces of expensive jewelry were missing. The total value of the missing items was determined to be approximately $173,430.00
Investigators were able to track down a pawn history of this suspect and with those results proved the suspect had sold all of the items which were reported stolen, to a Shreveport pawn shop over a 5 month period of time.
