700 W. 74th Shooting

Shreveport Police Investigators are continuing to investigate a homicide/robbery which occurred early this morning.

At approximately 0202 hours, patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 700 block of W. 74th. Upon their arrival they found the victim, Nicon R. Harper, W/M, DOB 02/28/1973 and his female companion in the street both suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Harper was unresponsive and was later pronounced dead upon arrival at LSUHSC and his companion was in serious condition. Investigators believed the two were victims of a robbery, however the relationship, if any, to the suspect(s) is unknown.

The investigation is continuing and for the safety of the w/f victim, her name and location are not being released.
