Shreveport Police Officer placed on administrative leave

Shreveport Police Chief Henry Whitehorn has ordered a Shreveport police officer to be placed on administrative leave after learning that the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office held a warrant for the officer’s arrest.

Investigators with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office contacted officials at the Shreveport Police Department this afternoon and notified them that they had a warrant for the arrest of Officer Justin White. The warrant is for felony theft and has a bond of $5,000.00. Supervisors with the Shreveport Police Department made contact with White and subsequently turned him over to the Caddo Sheriff’s Office.

White, 27 years of age, was hired by the department in March of 2004. He has been relieved of all duties pending an internal investigation. Chief Whitehorn commented, “The Shreveport Police Department is a professional law enforcement agency committed to serving the citizens of Shreveport. I will not tolerate misconduct on the part of our officers.”
