Shreveport Police investigating homicide in Queensborough

Police are investigating the slaying of a local man found deceased this morning in Shreveport's Queensborough neighborhood.

Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched just after 9:00 a.m. this morning to the intersection of Stonewall St. and Virginia Ave. relative to a shooting victim there. Upon arrival officers discovered an adult male victim in the alley between Stonewall St. and Darien St. just west of Virginia Ave. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene and discovered that the victim had been shot at least twice.

The victim has been identified by detectives as 34 year old Jermaine Johnson of the 3600 block of Clarke St. in Shreveport. Detectives are working aggressively at this time to identify and locate the suspect or suspects responsible for this crime.
