Bank robber surrenders to police

At approximately 3:00 a.m. this morning a Bossier City man turned himself into Shreveport Police for his part in the robbery of a west Shreveport bank yesterday.

Forty-six year old Edward Washington of the 2000 block of Old Minden Rd. in Bossier City turned himself into Detective Jack Miller early this morning at the Shreveport Police Complex. Detective Miller interviewed Washington and subsequently booked him into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of first degree robbery.

Special thanks go out to all of those with the local media who helped us get the still photos of the robber out to the public. This is just another example of how partnerships serve to reduce violent crime in our communities.
