Shreveport Police searching for bank robber

Shreveport Police are looking for a man who robbed a west Shreveport bank this morning.

At approximately 11:40 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched out to the Chase Bank in the 3700 block of Greenwood Rd. relative to a robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that a middle aged, heavy-set black male entered the bank and gave a note to one of the tellers stating that he was armed and he wanted all of the money. The suspect told the teller not to push the alarm button. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and subsequently fled the scene. No one was injured during this robbery.

Police detectives are now asking for your help in locating this bank bandit. He is described as a black male in his forties, approximately 6'0" tall and weighing approximately 270 lbs. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a grey and black vertically striped button down shirt with a red shirt underneath, black pants, and black dress shoes. He was also wearing glasses and an earring in his left ear. Anyone with any information regarding this suspect's identity or whereabouts is urged to call Shreveport Police Detective Jack Miller at 318-673-6955 or CrimeStoppers at 318-673-7373.
