Suspect arrested in connection with burglary on Pennsylvania

Shreveport Police have arrested a man in connection with a burglary this morning in the 400 block of Pennsylvania.

At just after 11:00 this morning, police responded to a residential burglary in the 400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. in the Broadmoor neighborhood. The resident there reported 2 black males kicked in his back door and when they saw him, one of the suspects fired shots at him and both then fled the scene. The resident was not injured.

Detectives following up on the case were able to develop a possible suspect and subsequently located him in the 8400 block of David St. in Shreveport. After a brief foot pursuit, detectives arrested one suspect and brought two other subjects to the Police Complex for questioning. The vehicle believed to be used in the burglary was impounded by police as well.

Detectives have charged 21 year old Jerome Bryant of the 8400 block of David in Shreveport with one count of attempted second degree homicide. Another subject is still being questioned and one has been released.

Detectives are working hard at this time to determine what, if any, other crimes Bryant may be responsible for.
