Police investigate first homicide of 2009

Shreveport Police detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred yesterday evening in the 4100 block of Ester.

Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 4100 block of Ester at approximately 8:30 p.m. last night to assist the Shreveport Fire Department on an EMS call. Upon arrival, officers discovered 29 year old Scotty Green deceased in the residence. Detectives were dispatched to the scene and upon further investigation, determined that foul play was involved. Shreveport Police crime scene investigators processed the scene in an effort to obtain evidence and the victim was transported to LSUHSC for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
