Local law enforcement to target impaired drivers on New Year’s Eve

In an on-going effort to keep our citizens safe, the Shreveport Police Department will have additional officers hitting the streets this New Year’s Eve looking for suspected drunk drivers.

Louisiana Highway Safety Commission funds will be utilized to provide an increased number of Shreveport Police officers to address this most serious issue.

In addition, Louisiana State Troopers will be working with police in a collaborative effort to keep our streets safe.

Please join with your local law enforcement officers this New Year’s Eve and do your part to stay safe…..if you are going to be drinking, have a designated driver.
