Arrests made as a result of suspicious package

Shreveport Police have arrested the following two suspects as a result of the incident earlier today involving a suspicious package at 8600 Youree Dr.:

Alphonse L. Hope, 25 years old, of the 4200 blk. of Lakeshore was arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of illegal carrying of weapons. Upon detaining the suspect, officers discovered a pair of brass knuckles on his person.

Michael Pennywell, 20 years old, of the 9000 blk. of Youree Dr., was arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of driving through barricades and resisting an officer. Pennywell also had a warrant outstanding for his arrest through the Shreveport City Marshal's Office for loud music.
