Shooting at 3000 North Market

Shortly after 2:30 PM Shreveport Police responded to a 911 call of a woman shot in the parking lot of Brookshires Grocery store in the 3000 block of N. Market.

Based on the initial investigation, it is believed the suspect Richardo Henderson, black male, 22 years old got into an argument with the victim Chandra Coleman, b/f, 22 years old inside her vehicle. During the argument a small caliber handgun was discharged striking Coleman in the lower back causing minor injury. Shortly after the shooting, the victim called police stating she had been shot.

Officers were on the scene immediately and observed the suspect Henderson walking towards the victim's vehicle from the store. The victim identified Henderson as the shooter and he was immediately taken into custody without incident.

Henderson was charged with Aggravated Battery and Coleman remains in LSUHSC in stable condition.

Investigation continues.
