Warrant served and suspect arrested

Today, shortly after 9 AM, members of the Shreveport Police Department's Patrol Division, Investigations Bureau and K-9 responded to the 2500 block of Malcolm to execute an arrest warrant on Jacory Adams who was wanted for the October 22nd shooting of Mario Jackson in the 2600 block of Desoto Street.

Adams is accused of shooting Jackson in apparent retaliation for a shooting on August 30th in the 3100 block of Lillian which left a one year old fatally injured as the result of gunfire into the child's home. Adams believed Jackson, who was never connected or charged, was somehow responsible for the shooting and the subsequent death of the child (Darrius Williams turned himself in to investigators and was booked for 2nd Degree Murder of the child).

As the result of resisting arrest by not complying with officer's instructions during the execution of the warrant, Adams suffered minor injuries from a dog bite and being tased. He was transported to LSUMC for treatment, where he remains, and will be booked into city jail for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and Resisting Arrest.
