Motorcycle fatality

On 11/08/2008 at approximately 8:57 PM in the 7000 block of E. Kings Hwy, Chad Nissin, W/M, DOB 01/11/1986 and his passenger Nikki Ebarb, W/F, 19

were on their motorcycle on E. Kings Hwy. and E. 70th Street when they approached a curve at a high rate of speed, losing control of the motorcycle causing it to be laid down and leave the roadway.

Mr. Nissin was pronounced deceased at the scene and Ms. Ebarb was taken to LSUHSC in serious condition. Initial reports suggested there was another vehicle which had struck the motorcycle prior to the crash, but a thorough investigation along with witness statements concluded there was not another vehicle that caused the crash. Investigation is still on-going.
