Con Man Wanted

Shreveport Police need help in identifying a suspect who is running a con at a local casino.

On Oct. the 22nd shortly before 6:00 PM the evening a con man approach a couple at a local casino. The con man, described as a black male with an African accent, told the victim that he did not know much about our country and requested that the victim to hold on to "his monies" and would pay him to do so.

The suspect suggested that the victim put some of his money in the paper bag also. The victim then put the paper bag containing both of their monies into his backpack and walked to the front desk where the suspect got into a cab and left.

When the victim got back to his room, he looked into the paper bag and found that it only contained newspaper strips.

Anyone with information on this con artist is asked to Det. McConnel at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
