Shreveport Police are looking for information regarding the theft of hundreds of dollars worth of silver coins.
The coins, which were stolen from a home in Panola County on June 19, reportedly were sold in front of the Kroger grocery store on Mansfield Road the same day.
According to witnesses, a red-haired, white male driving a dark or royal blue, newer-model Ford pickup truck bought coins from a group of young people, who were selling them outside the store.
Three black females and two black males were selling the coins to unsuspecting customers. If the person who bought the coins would turn them into the Shreveport Police Department, they will not face criminal prosecution.
Anyone with information about the person who bought the coins, or the people who were selling them is asked to call Detective Rachel Alkire via Police Communications at 318-673-7300. Information can be left with Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.crimestoppersshreveportcaddo.com. -spd- View all SPD press releases at www.ci.shreveport.la.us/dept/police/spdnews |
