Women’s self defense course

The Women's Basic Self Defense Course, which was canceled because of flooding May 14, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 11.

The course hours will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Shreveport Regional Police Academy, 6440 Greenwood Road. It is free.

An Intermediate Women's Self Defense Course will take place on Dec. 10, 2008. Anyone who has completed the basic course can qualify for the intermediate course.
