Wanted suspect may have fled to Atlanta

Shreveport Police Department is looking for a man who may have fled to Atlanta, Georgia.

William Day, 40, of Shreveport is wanted in connection with stealing his employer's vehicle and laptop computer. He is also accused of embezzling several thousand dollars in rent money and merchandise from the employer.

Day is wanted for two counts of felony theft and unauthorized use of an access card.

He worked for a woman who owns several rental properties. He reportedly took more than $4,500 in rent payments from tenants. He also is believed to have stolen his employer's 2007 Toyota Sienna mini-van, valued at $25,000.

He was supposed to have returned to work with the van on April 29. When he didn't show by April 30, his employer contacted police.
