City Marshall arrested

Shreveport Police Department has arrested a Shreveport city marshal.

Carl Richard Jr., 40, is charged with forgery, injuring a public record and filing false public records.

Richard turned himself into CCC this evening.

Shreveport Chief of Police Henry Whitehorn received a report of Richard allegedly forging dispositions and the city prosecutor's signature on traffic court case files.

The incidents, which were reported to police on April 28, allegedly occurred on April 17 and Feb. 21, 2008.

The charges are all felonies, which will be prosecuted in Caddo Parish District Court. Bond has been set at $50,000 on each charge, for a total of $150,000.
