A 19-year-old Shreveport man was shot in the arm in the 2600 block of Murray Street late this morning.
About 11:30 a.m., police were called about shots fired in the area. Travis Alexander, 19, of Shreveport was transported to LSU Hospital by private automobile with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.

A fight broke out when one of the males pulled out a handgun and began firing at the residence. A person in the residence retrieved a weapon and fired shots, striking Alexander.
There reportedly were small children inside the residence at the time of the shooting.
Detectives are trying to work out the details of who was involved. The investigation continues. No arrests have yet been made.
