Lee Michael’s Jewelry theft update

Shreveport Police have been able to obtain still photos of the thief who stole two expensive diamond rings from Lee Michael's Jewelry on Monday.

The suspect is shown wearing a light-colored, button down dress shirt. He is a black male with a receding hairline. At first he is wearing glasses, and then he moves them to the top of his forehead.

In addition to the suspect, police have photographs of another man who entered the store a short time before the theft. He looked at the same section where the rings were being kept and then left the store. Photos of this person of interest are also attached to this e-mail. He is a black male wearing a long sleeve shirt with some type of logo on the front. He is balding but has a small spot of hair in the middle of his head.

Shreveport Police Department is investigating a felony theft of two expensive rings taken from Lee Michael's Jewelry inside Mall St. Vincent.

The incident happened about 12:15 p.m. today when aman entered the store and asked to see two rings. When the clerk handed them to him to look at, he apologized and left the store with the rings. The two items were valued at $72,525.

The suspect left the store through the mall entrance, so no vehicle description was obtained. He is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall, 150 pounds with light facial hair and a short haircut. He appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s. He was wearing a gray shirt and black dress pants.

The rings were emerald-cut diamonds. One was 3.2 carats, while the other ring was 2 carats. One had a platinum band, and the other was in gold.
