Lee Michaels Jewelry theft

Shreveport Police Department is investigating a felony theft of two expensive rings taken from Lee Michael's Jewelry inside Mall St. Vincent.

The incident happened about 12:15 p.m. today when Aman entered the store and asked to see two rings. When the clerk handed them to him to look at, he apologized and left the store with the rings. The two items were valued at $72,525.

The suspect left the store through the mall entrance, so no vehicle description was obtained. He is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall, 150 pounds with light facial hair and a short haircut. He appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s. He was wearing a gray shirt and black dress pants.

The rings were emerald-cut diamonds. One was 3.2 carats, while the other ring was 2 carats. One had a platinum band, and the other was in gold.

Information can be left with Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.crimestoppersshreveportcaddo.com.
