Traffic notice

The railroad crossing at Bert Kouns near the Inner Loop will again be disrupted tomorrow (Thursday). However, traffic will not be affected until after 9 a.m. to allow for morning commuters.

On Monday, work on the railroad tracks was supposed to have been completed by 6 a.m. However, delays in the construction caused the road to be closed until around 10 a.m. This caused major traffic delays and headaches for motorists.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow, Bert Kouns will be down to one lane in each direction. Before that time, all lanes will be open.

Those traveling in southeast Shreveport may want to consider taking a different route during the times the lane closures will be in effect.
