SPD looking for Officer and Volunteers
UPDATE: The Mobile Command Bus will also be in Springhill this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be located in the Brookshire's parking lot, located at 400 Butler Street. Anyone who is looking for a new career should drop by and get more information.
Shreveport Police Department will be at Wal-mart in the 1600 block of Bert Kouns this Wednesday (April 9) in search of potential recruits for the full-time police force, as well as the part-time volunteer force.
Members of the SPD Recruiting Unit and the Community Oriented Policing Bureau will have the Mobile Command Bus in the parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for anyone who would like to get information and even apply for a paid or volunteer position.
Besides police officers, the department has a need for Auxiliary Officers, Police Pastors and Volunteers in Policing.
For anyone wanting to learn about the Shreveport Police Department, a Citizens Police Academy is planned for Aug. 5. To register or get information about this or any other police program contact the COP Bureau at 673-6950.
