DWI Checkpoint

Shreveport Police Department will be conducting a DWI checkpoint this Saturday night, April 5.

Officers will be working at an unannounced location in the northwest part of Shreveport. Officers will be looking for drunken drivers, but they also will be checking for current proof of insurance, inspection, registration and seat belt compliance.

The operation is being paid for by grant money from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
