Two men arrested at hospital

A man and a security supervisor who arrested him were both booked into the Shreveport City Jail about 1:40 p.m. Saturday after an incident at Willis-Knighton North, 2600 Greenwood Road.

Fred McKeever Jr., 63, of Shreveport had detained Anthony Flakes, 36, of Shreveport for allegedly stealing a woman's purse. While being held in the security office, McKeever reportedly struck Flakes with a pistol, causing injuries to his head and face.

Flakes was taken to LSU Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was later booked into the City Jail on a charge of felony theft and possession of Schedule II, crack cocaine.

Meanwhile, McKeever was booked on a charge of aggravated battery.
