Fairy Street Shooting

Two men are in the hospital this morning recovering from gun shot wounds.

Mario Bailey, Black Male DOB 09-05-1986, and Laceasal Sweatt (Pronounced Sweat) Black Male DOB 9-25-1990, were shot shortly before 8:00 PM last night.

Bailey and Sweatt were at the corner of Fairy and Quinton when a Mini Van drove by shooting at them. The van left east on Quinton. Sweatt was shot on the left side. Mario Bailey was shot in the arm and back.

Bailey was transported to Willis Knighten North by a private vehicle and then transported by the Fire Department. Bailey was able to make it to a house in the 3000 block of Dupont where he was transported to LSU in critical condition by the fire department.

At last check both individuals were still at LSU-HSC in critical condition.
