Girlfriend arrested for murder

Shreveport Police Department arrested a 21-year-old woman on a charge of second-degree murder.

Jannie Wilson of Shreveport was booked into the Shreveport City Jail about 1 p.m. today after an autopsy determined that her live-in boyfriend, Marcus Williams, had been murdered.

Williams, 31, was found dead in his home in the 200 block of East 72nd Street on March 12. Family members and neighbors had not seen or heard from him in several days. When located, Williams' body was badly decomposed.

It is believed that Wilson shot Williams in the head while he slept.
