Man wanted for overnight shooting

Shreveport police are looking for a man who shot another man in the 1600 block of Garden Street early this morning.

Robert C. Harris, 27, of Shreveport is wanted for attempted second-degree murder of Sylvester Mayweather, 42, of Shreveport.

Mayweather was shot in the lower right leg, but declined to be transported to the hospital. The incident occurred when the victim went to the house to pick up his daughter. The victim and suspect got into an altercation, which resulted in the shooting.

The mother of the girl, Francis Mayweather,42, did not cooperate with police and was arrested for accessory after the fact and booked into the City Jail.
