Search for Rapist Update

UPDATE: After two weeks of searching for Ronnie York, he was captured by the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force in Aurora, Colorado, a suburb of Denver.

York's whereabouts came from tips to the Shreveport Police Department's Crime Stoppers program.

York will be extradited back to Shreveport to face charges. It is unknown when he will return.

Shreveport Police are on the hunt for Ronnie York, wanted on two counts of Aggravated Rape from incidents in 2006. York fled the city after the initial investigation, but is believed to have returned.

The charges against York involve the rape of a five-year-old girl and the rape of a 32-year-old, mentally challenged woman.

York is a 45-year-old black male, 5’8”, 180 lbs. He may be in the Mooretown area. He has no known vehicles.
