Man shot in Cedar Grove Drive-by

Shreveport Police Department responded to a drive-by shooting today in the 600 block of West 74th Street.

Christopher Davenport, 32, of Shreveport was taken to LSU Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred about 1:10 p.m. when shots were heard and the victim was found lying in the driveway of a home at 605. W. 74th Street. The suspect is believed to be a black male who was sitting in an older-model Pontiac. The victim had been walking up and down the street prior to the shooting. Following the shots being fired, the vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene.

The shooter is described as having short hair, a medium complexion with a mustache. He was wearing a white hoodie and was about 6 feet tall.
