Purse Snatching

The Shreveport Police Department needs the public's help in finding a man who shoved an elderly woman to the ground while snatching her purse.

The incident happened in the 2700 block of W. 70th street in the parking lot of Rite Aid on Jan 24th.

The woman and several witnesses described the assailant as a black male between in his early 20's, between 5'10" and 6'0" tall weighing 150 pounds with a medium complexion. The assailant was wearing a leopard pattern jacket with fur around the hood and blue jeans.

After knocking the woman to the ground and taking her purse the suspect fled west through the parking lot on foot toward Canal Street.
