Stabbing on 74^th

One man is jail, and one man is in the hospital this evening after an argument escalated to one man stabbing the other.

The incident took place in the 700 block of west 74th street shortly after midnight. when officers arrived on the scene one man was bleeding from a knife wound.

Clifford Escoval, white male 07-15-1964, stabbed Doug Ayers, white male 02-13-1960, under his left arm after getting into a verbal argument.

Ayers was transported to LSU-HSC with what appeared to be non-life threatening wounds. Escoval is facing one count of Aggravated Battery.
