6 year old succumbs to injuries
Shreveport Police worked two armed robberies this afternoon, both were stores were Thrifty Liquors.
The first one occurred shortly after 11:00 this morning in the 4800 block of Greenwood Rd. In the first armed robbery a black male wearing a black bandana over his face and gloves entered the store armed with a handgun. He's is described as being approximately 6'2" tall in his mid 20's. The suspect came into store produce gun took undetermined amount of cash. He was last seen heading east bound behind the Praise Temple Church on foot.
The second robbery happened in the 8600 block of Youree Drive, also at a Thrifty Liquor. In the second incident a black male wearing a black or gray hoodie and baggie jeans entered the liquor store and robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled the store on foot running toward an apartment complex near by.
At this time the Police department can not say if these two armed robberies are connected or not, but they are not ruling anything out at this time.
