City bus in minor wreck

The Shreveport Police responded to a wreck this morning involving a Sport Tran Bus and a Ford Taurus.

Shortly before noon a green Ford Taurus traveling west bound on Murphy when it collided with a City Bus traveling south bound on Texas. 3 bus riders were transported to Schumpert as a precaution. 5 other riders were transferred from the wrecked bus to another bus to continue their travels.

The driver of the Ford Taurus was cited for running a red light based on witness statements at the scene.
