Rape Suspect sought

The Shreveport Police need the public's help in identifying a suspect who is wanted for Attempted Aggravated Rape of 15 year old.

Yesterday morning a black male wearing a black pull-over hoodie and black Dickie pants pulled a 15 year black female behind a vacant house in the 1900 block of Linear and began trying to tear her clothes off.

Despite the fact the black male was armed with black Semi-Automatic Handgun the 15 year old fought off her attacker and was aided by a passerby who saw the struggle.

When the good Samaritan stopped to help the girl her attacker fled north on Linear toward Martin Luther King Dr.

The suspect is described as a black male 35 to 45 years of age, with a slender built between 120 and 150 pounds. He is tall and has brown eyes.

Anyone who may know who can identify the suspect is asked to call the detectives office at 673-6955.
