Fugitive from Sabine Parish sought

Area law enforcement authorities need assistance in locating an escapee from Sabine Parish who may be in the local area.

On March 5, 2007 Calvin Wayne Garner, b/m, 10/28/1984 escaped on foot from the Sabine Parish Detention Center in Many, La. where he was being returned from a court appearance. Garner had been sentenced in 2004 to (5) years Hard Labor after pleading guilty to two counts of Forgery. His probation had been recently revoked and he was to begin serving his sentence prior to the escape.

Garner has family in both Shreveport and Many, Louisiana and had a last known address of 80 Grady Lane in Many. On March 23rd, authorities received an unconfirmed report the suspect was seen in the 3200 block of Fulton here in Shreveport.
