16 year old arrested for shooting

Shreveport Police Department has arrested a 16-year-old boy after a shooting that injured a 25-year-old Shreveport man.

The victim, Antowine (correct spelling) Singer, and the juvenile were involved in a verbal argument at a home in the 2500 block of Devaughn about 1:20 a.m. this morning. The juvenile then pulled a handgun and shot the victim in the upper right thigh. The victim was taken to LSU Hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.

The suspect fled from the scene on foot and later turned himself in to SPD. He was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center on charges of aggravated battery and juvenile in possession of a handgun.
