FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Woodrow Street shooting under investiagtion

Shreveport police arrested two people in connection with a shooting in the 1600 block of Woodrow that occurred at 10 a.m. this morning.

Raquel Wilson, 24, of Shreveport was shot twice in the legs during an altercation with her next-door neighbors, which reportedly was a continuation from an earlier dispute between the parties. This morning, 29-year-old Sean Johnson of Shreveport came out of the house at 1640 Woodrow armed with a handgun. Shortly thereafter, resident Mia Moreland came out of the house, took the gun from Johnson and shot at Wilson four times, striking her twice. Wilson was transported to LSU Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Johnson was arrested at the scene on a charge of being principal to aggravated battery. A short time later, Moreland came to the police station, where she was arrested and charged with aggravated battery. Both were booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
