Father/Daughter arrested in internet sex sting

Shreveport Police Detectives arrested a Longview man and his daughter in connection with an Internet sex case in which the man thought he was meeting a 15-year-old girl he had met online. The arrests were part of an operation conducted by the federal Cyber Crimes Task Force.

Bobby Lee Phillips Jr., 48, of Longview was taken into custody after showing up at a Shreveport Park on East Kings Highway. Phillips went there to pick up someone he believed was a 15-year-old girl he met via the Internet. Phillips reportedly was planning to take the girl back to Longview to have sex with her. Phillips also had brought a pornographic movie for them to watch on the way back to Texas. In actuality, he had set up the date with undercover detectives Greg Rudell and Jason Person.

When Phillips arrived at the park, Rudell and Person -- with the help of Caddo Parish Sheriff's Detective Robert Greer and others from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office and Shreveport Police Department -- quickly arrested Phillips. 

Phillips was accompanied by his 24-year-old daughter, Sabrina Phillips, who also was taken into custody. Sabrina reportedly was going to drive Phillips and the girl, while they watched the movie. The two suspects were accompanied by Sabrina's husband, who was not arrested but is still under investigation.

Phillips Sr. was charged with computer-aided solicitation of a juvenile for sexual purposes, attempted felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, attempted indecent behavior with a juvenile and attempted contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Phillips is facing a charge of principal to attempted felony carnal knowledge and attempted indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Phillips Sr. was transported to LSU after complaining of chest pains. Therefore, a mug shot of him is not available at this time. A photo of Sabrina Phillips is attached to this news release.
