Man wanted for false imprisonment

Shreveport Police are looking for a man wanted for false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon.

 

Jamar T. Hayes, 26, of Shreveport is wanted for the incident that occurred Feb. 8 in the 400 block of W. 76th Street after an officer attempted a traffic stop on a blue Ford Crown Victoria. The vehicle refused to stop for the officer, instead fleeing the scene and eventually crashing at Linwood and W. 76th Street. Hayes reportedly fled from the vehicle on foot and hid in a nearby house. He was armed with an assualt weapon and allegedly held a female resident inside the house until police left. He then fled the scene.

 

Hayes is described as a black male, 5'11" tall and 220 pounds. He has a dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes and multiple tattoos on his arms and hands. If anyone has information on his whereabouts, call Detective Jim Cromer or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
